Dyscalculia (sometimes called "Math Dyslexia") is a learning disability that causes people to invert numerals. Needless to say, this makes performing basic math functions incredibly difficult. If you are a child -- or if you are the parent of a child -- who is trying so hard to understand math and is still performing poorly, this is something you might want to rule out -- or rule in! -- before you tear his and your own hair out.
