The Reading and Learning Lab is a service provided by the Language, Literacy and Specialized Learning Program of the DePaul University's School of Education The Reading and Learning Lab provides high quality assessment and tutoring services to children and youth in the metropolitan Chicago area at a moderate cost: a sliding scale is available.

Services are provided by graduate students who are master's candidates for the reading specialist program and are in the last phase of their degree. They are supervised by university faculty members in a clinical setting. The graduate students assess, and evaluate reading performance, create and teach lessons, and reinforce reading strategies and methods. They also develop interventions and make suggestions to the school, and parents to support the reading practices. The services are provided in English. However, both the Lab Director and secretary are bilingual Spanish-speakers for parents needing information or interpretation in Spanish. Check our site for more information.

The Lab is also home to the Productive learning Strategies (PLuS) Program, a comprehensive support program for learning disabled college student attending DePaul. For more information about the PLuS program, visit our web site.
