The International Dyslexia Association (IDA),
(formerly the Orton Dyslexia Society), is an
international, 501(c)(3) non-profit, scientific and educational
organization dedicated to the study and treatment of dyslexia.
The IDA was first established nearly 50 years ago to continue the
pioneering work of Dr. Samuel T. Orton, who was one of the first
to identify dyslexia and its remediation.
We provide free information and referral services
for testing and tutoring.
We have 45 branches and 11,000 members in the U.S.
and abroad.
We offer memberships (which include a quarterly
newsletter, annual journal, discounts on conferences & publications, and
much more!), publications, conferences, seminars, and support groups.
Visit the International Dyslexia Association
web site for
more up-to-date events and other information.
