Mission Control is a versatile computer access device for children with a range of disabilities, using unique aFFx™ activator technology. Different than a switch, an aFFx activator senses duration and pressure, allowing for increased interactivity and adaptability.

Mission Control includes four large aFFx activators, a built-in microphone, and the ability to plug in any individual switch. Mission Control allows a child to explore Cosmo’s Play and Learn Playground Discovery software while working on pre-literacy and pre-numeracy goals. The software is developmentally appropriate for children ages 3 to 5, and focuses on color recognition, spatial awareness, directional awareness, numbers, and shapes. The software can be individualized for each child, includes comprehensive data tracking, and can be played in either English or Spanish. Also includes matching magnetic manipulatives and magnetic theme board and coordinating curriculum guide.

In addition, CLS includes MC Commander, an application which programs Mission Control to interface with off-the-shelf software. The user may designate Mission Control to function as a mouse or any key stroke from a standard keyboard! This functionality expands the software options for individuals who would otherwise be limited by the access device.
