Dr. Muir offers assessment, diagnoses, and recommendations for educational growth. Recommendations include websites for parental support, suggested books/readings for parents, and concrete suggestions for school implementation to increase maximum learning potential.

Referrals include students (ages three to nineteen) who are:

• struggling in school
• needing school entrance battery including WPPSI/WISC
• identified college bound students with learning disabilities needing recent evaluation

Students who are experiencing difficulty with following directions, reading, staying on task, reading comprehension, learning to read, writing, math, oral expression, listening comprehension, short term memory, long term memory and retrieval, distractibility, hypersensitivity to touch or sound may all benefit from Dr. Muir's diagnosis and recommendations.

Evaluations include psychological and educational assessments. The evaluations include a full cognitive/ability and achievement investigation. If it is determined that neuropsychological assessment may of benefit then we may add this to the repertoire.

Dr. Muir's experience includes teaching at the University level (including Colorado State University, George Mason University, and The George Washington University) as well as teaching in K-12 settings (both special and regular education in private and public sectors). She works in collaboration with a clinical psychologist during the interpretation and analysis of the data; they both sign off on the reports.

Unless my child should become sick, I can make a two part guarantee.
I will schedule an appointment within a 2 week window and have the report back within 2 weeks.
