Multi-disciplinary Approaches to Academic Learning in New York

The Center for Kinesthetic Education (CKE) in New York City applies movement, exercise and dance to facilitate learning and health for individuals and in schools. Somatic education and movement therapy are holistic approaches for any child or adult seeking to make physical changes to support cognitive and social performance. Body awareness and neuro-motor activities balance academic work and play to help address attention issues, sensori-motor integration, eye-hand and eye-body coordination, dyslexia, non-verbal learning disorders, visual-spatial problems and health issues such as scoliosis, immune deficiency, or cerebral palsy. CKE's creative and individualized activities developmentally address academic and physical performance, as well as quality of life.

  • Multi-sensory and Creative Arts Approaches to Academic Tutoring
  • Neuro-motor evaluations
  • Individual Sessions

  • Seasonal Arts Days (art making, movement and dramatic play for mixed abilities groups)
