P.A.R.E.N.T.S. works with parents of children with special needs (all kinds and all ages), professionals, and others, to improve the lives of children and families in homes, schools, and communities around the state of Alaska.

P.A.R.E.N.T.S. believes that strong, capable families are the best resources for children with special needs. We also believe that parents of these children can provide support and information to each other.

P.A.R.E.N.T.S. can help families by offering information, training, referrals, and support. We can connect parents with other parents who share the same needs and concerns.

The following resources are available statewide:

  • Lending library of books, journals, newsletters, video and audio tapes, disability awareness activities, the Count Me In puppets, and the traveling curriculum kit
