The Federation provides information, support, and assistance to parents of children with disabilities, their professional partners, and their communities.

The Federation is committed to listening to and learning from families and to encouraging full participation in community life by all people, especially those with disabilities.

The Federation's major services are: a quarterly newsletter and journal, informational directories, factsheets, booklets, and technical assistance to the projects listed below (four of which are nationwide).
