Lighthouse brings a broad range of experience to assessment and remediation of learning challenges: The director has taught children with learning disabilities in many frameworks: she has worked in facilitating special education students to hold their own in a regular classroom and she has taught a special education classroom. She has also done an internship in a neuropsychiatric clinic.

Lighthouse has experience working with children with ADD/ADHD, autistic children, and children with Asperger's syndrome, and with brain injured children.

Lighthouse has vast experience teaching reading to dyslexic children, using the Direct Instruction methods and the Reading Naturally program.
