Learning Disabilities Services

Comprehensive assessment for learning disabilities and / or ADD/ADHD is provided by John Hosterman, Ph.D. Testing includes evaluation of intelligence, all processing areas, and all academic achievement areas.

Thorough, specific, and practical recommendations are generated to meet the needs of all children assessed, regardless of whether or not a learning disability is diagnosed. Dr. Hosterman also works with teenagers whose behavior or LD issues seem to impact their social behavior and academic abilities. He also does educational, career, and college counseling.

Dr. Hosterman regularly attends school staffing with parents to discuss the results of the private evaluation and how the school can meet the educational needs of the child.

Dr. Hosterman is a former classroom teacher. He also periodically supervises graduate students at Northwestern University's Program in Learning Disabilities.
