I work directly with parents and caregivers to secure the necessary services and education for those who qualify under IDEA and ADA. I accompany the parent or caregiver to the IEP meetings and help develop an appropriate educational program (IEP) that will allow for the child/youth to be more successful. The goal is for parents and caregivers to learn the special education process and become more knowledgeable about the IEP process to guarantee that their child receives a free and appropriate education (FAPE).

I hold a masters degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, which gives me the knowledge and expertise in the interpretation of Psychoeducational evaluations in determining the child’s individual educational needs. I have completed the Strategic Negotiation Skills training by Pepperdine University School of Law in the area of Dispute Resolution. I have served as a member of the Office of Administrative Hearing Advisory Committee. I have been working as special education consultant and a professional advocate professionally since 1999.
