The maze of Special Education regulations and laws can be confusing and complicated. Perhaps your child has a special need which has not been identified. • Some kids need special accommodations for taking standardized tests, like the SAT's or Licensing Exams. Special needs change over time and reasonable accommodations are the law.

• School discipline is something that no parent wants their child to have trouble with. Unfortunately, sometimes children who learn differently express their frustration by acting out or "misbehaving". There are limits on what schools can do to discipline a child with an identified disability.

• "Zero Tolerance" policies often trap the kids who had no intention of doing anything "wrong". If your child is on the receiving end of a mandatory expulsion, he has rights.
