NPPSIS:
- Links families nationally who have a child with a special healthcare
need
or a rare disorder.
- Provides parents and professionals with healthcare information,
resources,
and referrals which will allow them to identify appropriate services.
- Encourages families to participate in local parent programs and

organizations.
- Maintains a database of parents from all states and many countries.
- Strengthens networking and collaboration of Parent to Parent programs
and
disability organizations.
